FMJ-Software has updated Awave Studio, their multi-purpose editor and format converter for instruments and audio files.
New features in v12.14 include:
- Improved compatibility with Wine — the free Windows emulator — allowing it to run on macOS and Linux.
- Added support for reading Kurzweil K2700 and PC4 file formats (.K27, .PC4).
- Added support for reading ZIP archives. When opening a .ZIP, it search for collection, instrument, or wave files inside it.
- When auto-sampling a MIDI instrument or a VSTi where not all notes produce a sound (e.g. a drum kit), it will now detect that there was only silence and skip that note.
- You can now independently set whether hi-bank, lo-bank, and program numbers are to be displayed before the instrument names.
- Improved UI accessibility when using a screen reader.
- Various minor fixes and improvements.
