Floe Ports releases free Taiko Drums sample instrument for Floe

Floe Ports has released Taiko Drums, a simple, free multisampled Japanese taiko percussion instrument for Floe, the open-source sample library platform plug-in.

Taiko Drums is a port of S. Christian Collins’ SCC Taiko Drums, with original samples by Subaqueous. The library features 15 different drums delivered as a single instrument, each with multiple velocity layers and round-robin sampling.

The library’s standout drums (Taiko Drums 1 and 2, mapped to C2-C#2 and D2-D#2) utilize the most samples and deliver the most authentic taiko tone.

Each drum is mapped to a pair of adjacent keys (white key plus black key), enabling realistic drum rolls through trilling between the two notes.
