Carbonated Audio has released Pour, a Mid/Side stereo imager plugin with a live polar vectorscope.
Pour is the fourth plugin from Carbonated Audio, shipping alongside Carbonator (saturation), De-Sipper (de-esser) and On Tap (sidechain ducker).
Pour’s control set is inspired by the SSL Fusion Stereo Image hardware and Alan Blumlein’s 1931 Stereo Shuffling, giving engineers a surgical way to widen the low end without collapsing mono compatibility.
Features:
- Shuffle + Space — Blumlein bass stereo shuffling with a 40–400 Hz crossover.
- Width — ±6 dB side gain for widening or narrowing the stereo field.
- Rotation — ±45° M/S vector tilt (Waves S1 style).
- Asymmetry — phantom center shift without affecting overall width.
- Live polar vectorscope with persistence trail.
- Solo Side — audition stereo-only content before mono fold-down.
- M/S metering on input + output.
- Pop-up preset browser (Bass, Vocal, Drum, Guitar).
- A/B compare and 64-step Undo / Redo.
- Zero latency, low CPU.
