Blue Cat Audio Updates Connector, Freeceiver and Fader Hub with New Workflow and Connectivity Features

Blue Cat Audio has released new versions of Connector, Freeceiver and Fader Hub, bringing major workflow improvements to its inter-app and network audio solutions.

Connector 1.5 and Freeceiver 1.3 now support offline bounce, freeze and rendering, enabling users to render audio and MIDI through plug-ins or external hardware connected across applications, and even remotely over a network or the Internet.

The updates also bring improved network latency estimation and synchronization, along with several performance enhancements.

Fader Hub 1.4 receives enhanced plug-ins and presets management, Audio Unit V3 (AUV3) support on macOS, and the latest Connector Protocol V3 improvements for network synchronization and latency compensation, alongside numerous workflow and performance enhancements.

All three updates are available now. Freeceiver remains free, while Connector and Fader Hub are available with a 20% discount until the end of August.

New in Both Freeceiver 1.3 and Connector 1.5:

  • Offline bounce/freeze/render support (Connector Protocol V3): https://www.bluecataudio.com/Blog/tip-of-the-day/connector-adds-offline-bounce-render-and-freeze-support/
  • Improved network latency estimation accuracy and synchronization.
  • AAX: Connector now re-synchronizes automatically when switching from low to high-latency mode in Pro Tools (input monitoring on/off).
  • Performance improvements.

  • Supports full-text search within presets (find presets containing a specific plug-in or keywords).
  • Performs searches without blocking the user interface.
  • Both the plug-in and preset browsers now match files containing all search terms (AND logic) instead of just one (OR logic).
  • Improved network latency estimation accuracy and synchronization / Connector Protocol V3 support.
  • AAX: Fader Hub now re-synchronizes automatically when switching from low-latency to high latency mode in Pro Tools (input monitoring on/off).
  • Plug-ins user interface is now open automatically when dragged and dropped from the file system.
