Almudio has released 3D Panner, a spatial audio plugin that places any sound anywhere around the listener: left, right, front, back, above and below.
Rather than a conventional left-to-right pan, 3D Panner positions each source on a single sphere.
HRTF binaural rendering makes the result read as true 3D on any pair of headphones, with no surround rig, no treated room and no additional hardware required.
Features:
- 3D positioning on a sphere, with HRTF binaural rendering based on the SADIE II data set.
- Frequency splitting into up to eight bands, each with its own built-in limiter, so the low end can stay anchored while the highs travel in the 3D space individually.
- Eight built-in LFOs including random and pendulum motion, plus user-drawn shapes on the XY pad, with control over speed, amount and direction.
Pricing & Availability
3D Panner is available now in VST3 format on Windows, and in VST3 and Audio Unit formats on macOS (AAX coming soon).
The macOS build is a Universal Binary and runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. It requires Windows 10 or later (64-bit), or macOS 11 or later.
3D Panner is free to download until 15th August 2026 at almudio.com/3d-panner
