Sample Logic releases Animation Station PRO

Sample Logic has released Animation Station Pro, a virtual instrument plugin developed in partnership with Pitch Innovations.

Animation Station Pro hosts VST3 and Audio Unit instruments and effects inside itself and drives them with two animation engines:

  1. The MIDI Animation engine is the step sequencer and arpeggiator from Animation Station 2.0, with four-pattern ABCD switching, per-step control over rate, velocity, duration, transpose and stutter, sequences of up to 64 steps, and drag-and-drop MIDI export.
  2. The FX Animation engine is new: up to six independent animations, each configurable as a step sequencer, LFO or macro control, and assignable to any parameter of a hosted plugin using a learn function.

Because plugins are hosted internally, VST3 instruments and effects can be played inside DAWs that load only Audio Units, including Logic Pro.

A Channel Preset stores the hosted instrument, the hosted effect, the MIDI animation, the FX animations and all learn assignments as a single recallable preset.

Animation Station Pro includes over 900 MIDI and FX animation presets, plus the Breaking Borders collection designed by Ben Aylon, which carries over from Animation Station 2.0.

Animation Station PRO is available now at an introductory price of $89, reduced from the regular price of $119, until 14 September 2026.

  • VST3, Audio Unit, AAX and standalone application.
  • macOS 10.13 or later, 64-bit Intel or Apple Silicon, 6 GB RAM.
  • Windows 10 or later, 64-bit, 6 GB RAM.
  • 35 MB disk space.
  • Hosts the user’s own VST3 and Audio Unit plugins; the included Plug-in Manager scans and populates them.
