SOPORIST has released Korg opsix Vol. 1, a new sound bank for the Korg opsix focused on retro, ambient and electronic sounds.
The bank explores the opsix operator architecture using a mixture of subtractive, FM and other synthesis approaches, with an emphasis on warm tones, modulation and evolving texture.
The collection includes:
- Polyphonic synth and key patches.
- Pads and atmospheric sounds.
- Arpeggiated and rhythmic patches.
- Textured and evolving sounds.
- Experimental patches and sound-design elements.

The patches make use of the opsix modulation system, filters, envelopes, LFOs and onboard effects, with many designed to change over time or respond to performance controls – with modwheel variations added for each patch.
Korg opsix Vol. 1 is supplied as individual .op6program files and is compatible with the original Korg opsix hardware and opsix native software.
