sonicLAB releases OceanicW and updates the Oceanic bundle

sonicLAB has updated the Oceanic bundle and released OceanicW.

Oceanic bundle captures the essence of the ocean waves and transforms them into a symphony of additive sound synthesis. Until now the Oceanic app (simulates the oceanic waves) and the WaveBot plugin (creates the wavetables and the sound engine) have been separate applications. Now the OceanicW combines them in one application.

Changes and Improvements:

  • Users can use the OceanicW as a standalone or as a plugin on the DAW.
  • When used on the DAW, all parameters can be automated and MIDI controllers can be assigned.
  • OceanicW window is resizable on all versions.

The DSP engine has been improved:

  • Hermite interpolation giving far smoother reconstruction of the Gerstner cross-sections, applied on all 70 wavetable instances.
  • Anti-alialised wavetables.
  • Sample-accurate scheduling.
  • Dual-buffer crossfade when editing Gerstner waves.
  • The manuals have been updated reflecting these many changes and installation instructions.

Availability

OceanicW will work directly for registered users. Existing users have to update the WaveCC and FlangerBot plugins as well in order to work with OceanicW.

sonicLAB Oceanic bundle contains the OceanicW, WaveCC and FlangerBot apps. OceanicW comes as a standalone app, VST3 and AU plugin version.

OceanicW requires minimum OS X 13 (universal) or Windows 11. WaveCC comes as VST2 / AUmidiFX and FlangerBot comes as VST3 / AU plugin versions.

Oceanic bundle is priced at £99 GBP and can be purchased at sonicLAB store.
