SonikStation has updated SonikSearch, the AI-powered sample browser and manager, to v2.4, with several major features:
- Local AI Semantic Search: Search your sample library by describing sounds in natural language. Type things like “warm pad,” “punchy kick,” or “dark atmosphere” and find matching sounds regardless of filename. All processing is done locally on your machine, no internet required.
- Improved Similar Sounds: Find similar sounds in your library with improved accuracy, or drag and drop any sample into SonikSearch to find sounds like it.
- Boolean Search: Combine keyword search terms to narrow results quickly.
- AAX Support (macOS): SonikSearch is now available as an AAX plugin for Pro Tools.
- Background Task Queue: Imports and analysis run in the background with pause, cancel, and reorder controls. Close the app mid-task and it picks up where it left off.
