noizplay has released nyVERB, an algorithmic reverb with a dense, silky tail and two highly practical controls built right into the plugin: focus and duck. Both cover jobs that usually require extra plugins and routing around the reverb — an EQ in front of the send, a sidechain compressor on the reverb bus. From tight booths to endless halls, plus a preset bank of modern effect spaces for electronic music.
Focus is a bandpass on the signal feeding the reverb. Turning it up closes a high-pass and a low-pass in towards the mids, so less low-end rumble and less high hiss enter the tail. The dry signal stays untouched — the source keeps its full range while the reverb stays clean.
Duck watches the plugin’s own input and pulls the reverb down while the signal plays, then lets it bloom back in the gaps: fast to duck, slow to recover. Only the wet path is affected, so the source stays upfront without drowning in its own space.
