Antelope Audio has released the native version of Impresser, making one of its established dynamics processors available to a wider range of users. Previously available exclusively on FPGA and Synergy Core Real-Time FX platforms, Impresser is now offered as a standalone native plugin and as part of Antelope Cosmos.
Impresser delivers a flexible approach to dynamics processing, combining vintage-inspired compression with extended modern control.
The plugin was modeled after one of the most flexible, powerful, and distinctive compressors known to the audio world. Its signature sound comes from a unique analog design and a specialized feature set. The plugin retains the character of classic vintage compression while expanding the available control for modern production workflows.
Impresser can be used to apply gentle, warm compression or to push signals into more energetic, saturated territory. Its integrated harmonic distortion section allows for low-order warmth, tube-like coloration, and tape-style saturation, independently of compression if desired. At a 1:1 ratio, the plugin functions purely as a harmonic enhancer without applying gain reduction.
Additional modes expand its range further. The 10:1 Opto ratio provides smooth, musical compression, while the Nuke ratio delivers extreme limiting suited for heavily compressed textures. UK Mode introduces more aggressive attack and release behavior, inspired by classic limiter circuitry pushed to its limits. High- and band-pass side-chain filters with adjustable frequency control allow precise targeting of the compression response.
Impresser supports both mono and stereo operation and is now part of Antelope Audio’s native plugin ecosystem, enabling use without dedicated hardware while maintaining compatibility with Synergy Core systems.

The new native Impresser plugin is available today, April 30, 2026, with several access paths:
