This week’s top mixes include Visible Cloak’s Sanpo Disco, Chrissy’s Back In Time Mix and µ-Ziq’s Reminiscent Electronics. 

Teki Latex Is The Naked King. Recorded live at HF Music Studio Paris, The Naked King is the final chapter in Parisian club DJ Teki Latex’s King Of Blends trilogy. He explains that he “wanted to explore once again the world of blends and giving iconic pop pieces as well as classic underground tunes a new context by layering them with more modern and/or obscure tracks”. Visible Cloak’s Sanpo Disco. Aired on their show on NTS Radio, Melbourne’s Sanpo Disco present a new mix from Spencer Doran of Portland’s Visible Cloaks, who released their critically acclaimed Reassemble LP last year. It features a deep knowledge and appreciation for Japanese new-age, ambient, and minimalist music, emanating from the 1980s bubble economy. Stream above, track listing here.

Chrissy’s Back In Time Mix. Classic Music Company presents an eclectic mix from Chicago’s walking musical encyclopaedia, Chrissy, who has been called “one of the best DJs to walk the earth” by The Black Madonna. It features his own ‘Back In Time (Crackazat Remix)’ as well as tracks from Abyss, Spinning Plates and more. Stream above.

µ-Ziq’s Reminiscent Electronics. The latest XLR8R podcast comes from pioneering British DJ-producer and head of the Planet Mu imprint, Mike Paradinas aka µ-Ziq, featuring previously-unheard material he produced around 1998/9, when he also made the 11 tracks on his forthcoming album Challenge Me Foolish. DJ Deece’s Sounds Of St Patrick’s Day. Ministry Of Sound ask DJ Deece, who has been playing around Ireland for over seven years and is behind the Dublin-based Deece Series party, to put together a mix celebrating St Patrick’s Day.
