Casa Occidente has released RaiderPro, a vocal riding and dynamic level automation plugin designed for music production and post-production. It continuously monitors the input signal and applies real-time gain adjustments to maintain a consistent target level, helping engineers balance vocals and expressive instruments without relying solely on static compression.
Features
- Allows users to define a target level and final output gain, while its Range Fader feature sets a dynamic ceiling and floor for gain movement. This helps keep levels controlled while avoiding over-processed results.
- Includes side-chain functionality, allowing external signals to influence gain behaviour so vocals can remain present in dense mixes.
- Adjustable music sensitivity helps prevent masking, while vocal sensitivity can reduce background noise and improve isolation, which is particularly useful in recordings with bleed, such as drum sessions.
- Includes automation writing, allowing users to print the generated gain automation directly into the DAW and then place the plugin in read mode to reduce CPU usage while preserving the dynamic changes.
- Compared to its predecessor, BasicRider, RaiderPro introduces improved compatibility across DAWs and operating systems:
- Support for mono and stereo channel configurations.
- Improved performance allowing multiple simultaneous instances with low CPU usage.
- The plugin passes both auval and pluginval validation tests.
- Performance profiling and optimisation were carried out using Xcode Instruments in order to improve CPU efficiency for multi-instance use.
- Offline usage enabled.
Pricing & Availability
RaiderPro is available for macOS and Windows in VST3 and Audio Unit formats. The purchase includes both platforms and six months of software updates. RaiderPro is priced at USD 28. Planned updates during 2026 include a noise gate, the ability to copy the dynamics of one track to another, and additional dynamics processing modules.
BasicRider, the free predecessor of RaiderPro, was released in April 2025 and is now available for USD 8.
