sonicLAB has released Thermo3. Thermo3 is a cybernetic feedback instrument. It combines oscillator feedback, self regulation, stochastic modulation and performer intervention in one instrument.
Version3 offers the following new features and improvements:
- Quality: 4x, 8x, 16x oversampling options deliver the strongest alias control.
- Output: Stereo mode, or 4 separate mono voice outputs in the same plugin.
- New Transfer Functions: Fold, Hysteresis, Bistable, Spectral Drift, Excitable.
- New Injection Modes: Strike/Quench, Afterimage, Entrain, Reroute, Imprint, Threshold Dust.
- Thermal stage: An independent heat stage with heat, cooling, noise, and strength controls.
- Per-oscillator feed only: a voice can process incoming sound without generating its own waveform.
- Randomize: Adjustable depth and transition time, with Settings switches for which sections to change.
- Workflow: a resizable window, a larger browser, and named overwrite confirmation.
New preset banks and manual:
- The SBT3 preset bank is dedicated to the new features offered by Thermo3. Also there are tutorial banks for the new transfer and injections modes. The Thermo3 manual has been rewritten highlighting each detail on the application.

Thermo2 users can upgrade to Thermo3. The price is £17 GBP and can be purchased at the sonicLAB shop.
Thermo3 is available in VST3 and AU formats for OS X (silicon and Intel) and Windows systems. A minimum Apple M1 processing power or equivalent is recommended.
