Arvital Audio has updated AudioRoute to v1.2.4, a maintenance release focused on the global recording shortcut.
On macOS the default shortcut was Cmd+Shift+R, which is the Export Audio shortcut in Ableton Live. AudioRoute registers its shortcut system-wide, so Export stopped working for anyone who had both installed. The default is now Ctrl+Option+R. Existing shortcuts are kept as they are, including the old default.
On Windows two faults in the shortcut field are fixed. Ctrl was being read as the Windows key as well, so Ctrl+Alt+R was registered as Ctrl+Alt+Win+R and the shortcut that was typed did nothing. The shortcut already in use could not be retyped either, because it fired instead of reaching the field.
On both platforms the shortcut field now states what it accepts before you start, explains a key it refused, and Backspace clears the shortcut. The shortcut shown in the panel is clickable and opens the setting that changes it.
