Sound Overflow updates Genator to v1.0.1 and releases demo version

Sound Overflow has updated Genator, its generative synthesizer for Windows, to v1.0.1, released a demo version and announced a one-week extension of the launch offer.

Genator builds sounds from a description. Pick a family, an ambience, a mood and an era: its rule engine builds the whole patch, from the oscillators to the reverb, then balances the spectrum and controls the level. Rules, not AI: no neural network, no cloud, every sound is computed on your machine.

Demo

The demo is the full instrument for 2 hours of sound; the clock only runs while Genator plays. It includes 30 of the 240 factory presets, with saving disabled. Entering a licence key unlocks everything without reinstalling.

New in 1.0.1

  • New illustrated in-plugin help: real screenshots with numbered callouts, 14 tabs, a detailed EVOLVE / INSPIRE tab and a FAQ.
  • New illustrated user manual (PDF).
  • EVOLVE and INSPIRE settings saved with the project and kept when the window is reopened.
  • INSPIRE keeps running with the plugin window closed.
  • Licence activation fix.
