PSPaudioware updates PSP McQ and PSP RetroQ to v1.9.0

PSPaudioware has announced the release of PSP RetroQ v1.9.0 and PSP McQ v1.9.0, major free updates for registered users.

This update brings PSP RetroQ and PSP McQ up to date with modern systems and plug-in formats, adding native Apple Silicon support, AAX and VST3 formats, PSP’s latest preset system, updated graphics for high-resolution displays, and more.

PSP McQ

PSP McQ captures the sonic character and functionality of classic console equalizers, drawing particular inspiration from the versatile EQ sections found in MCI consoles. While rooted in these analog classics, PSP McQ expands on the original concepts with a number of modern features, including adjustable high-pass and low-pass filters, resonance controls for the shelving filters, optional bell modes for the low and high bands, and three nominal Q values for the midrange filters.

PSP RetroQ

PSP RetroQ is PSP Audioware’s unique take on a musical program equalizer, combining distinctive sonic character with low phase distortion for a smooth, natural sound.

Its shelving filters are based on the filters from PSP VintageWarmer, while the midrange section was designed using the same internal architecture to maintain a consistent musical character across the entire frequency range. An adjustable high-pass filter completes the feature set, making PSP RetroQ a flexible yet straightforward tool for broad tonal shaping.
