Limited Edition Audio has released VoxSplit Pro, a macOS tool for separating two overlapping voices from a single recording and reducing background noise and other non-dialogue sounds.
Developed by film sound designer Frédéric Le Louët, VoxSplit Pro lets dialogue editors work on each voice independently. For ADR preparation, this can help preserve one actor’s overlapping performance while replacing the other actor’s line. Results depend on the source recording.
