Vienna Symphonic Library has released two new Synchron Series Collections: Synchron Cimbalom and Synchron World Percussion II. Both libraries were recorded on Stage A at Vienna Synchron Stage.
Synchron Cimbalom features Hungarian concert cimbalom player Gergely Lajti, with standard, Romanian, and Gypsy mallets, plus full damper-pedal control. The instrument’s chromatic range and distinctive metallic resonance make it suited to folk-inspired writing, orchestral arrangements, and film scoring.
Synchron World Percussion II includes 20 individual percussion instruments from four continents, including Cuban batá, Brazilian berimbau, Indian mridangam, Iranian dammam, and Irish bodhrán. The library also contains 180 MIDI grooves, which can be previewed in Synchron Player and dragged into a DAW for further editing.
The performers include Ibou Ba, Hamidreza Ojaghi, Sasa Nikolic, Emma Frauenholz, Marnix Veenenbos, and Felix Morgenstern. As with other Synchron Series titles, Standard and Full Library editions differ in their available microphone positions.
Synchron Cimbalom is available at introductory prices of $78 (Standard Library, regular $100) and $111 (Full Library, regular $144). Synchron World Percussion II is available for $167 (Standard Library, regular $223) and $268 (Full Library, regular $357). These offers run through September 30th, 2026.
