Gazillion Industries has released Skruu and Triple OG, two effects for working with drums, samples and tape-style movement. Both plugins have resizable interfaces with black and brushed-aluminium finishes.
Skruu
Skruu combines independently adjustable pitch and time with elastic controls that return to their starting positions when released:
- Producers can speed up a loop while pitching it down, or move either parameter on its own.
- Each elastic control has a separate return speed, response, grid option and sixteen movement shapes.
- Four sampling grades run from 31.25 kHz to 3.91 kHz.
Triple OG
Triple OG combines cassette colour with a playable transport:
- TONE, HISS, DRIVE and AGE shape the tape, including an ageing range of up to sixty years.
- WOW FLUT adds continuous instability;
- CATCH makes the transport drag, jam and recover.
- BEND allows backward drags and forward throws that spring home when released.
- The forward-throw reserve introduces approximately 128 ms of host-reported latency; setting RESERVE to zero provides a latency-free, drag-only mode.
Pricing & Availability
Priced at $29 USD each Skruu and Triple OG are available for macOS 10.13 or later (AU, VST3 and standalone, Intel and Apple Silicon) and Windows 10 or later (64-bit VST3).
