Rocksolid Audio releases TEQ-6P – An EQ where every copy is unique (VST3, AU & AAX)

Rocksolid Audio has released TEQ-6P, a six band valve EQ plugin that takes a completely different route to standard analogue modelling.

Instead of using impulse responses or curve matching DSP, the engine solves physical circuit equations in real time. It simulates the valves, transformers and coils exactly as they behave in a real hardware unit, delivering the genuine dynamic response of a physical circuit rather than a fixed curve.

We wanted to build a piece of software that accurately simulates how a hardware EQ genuinely works, rather than copying any particular unit. Most analogue modelling captures a snapshot of a circuit at a fixed point. TEQ-6P recreates the circuit itself and runs it in real time, so it reacts the way real hardware would.

Matthew Felton, Director of Rocksolid Audio

Rocksolid Audio has also built component tolerances directly into the mathematical model, which is where the Unique Edition comes in. Every Unique Edition copy generated is 100% unique. Just like buying a physical hardware unit, where natural resistor and capacitor variances give each piece its own subtle character, each copy is the only version in the world that sounds exactly like it, and it carries its own serial number.

Pricing & Availability

The plugin comes with a choice of two user interfaces, Classic or Modern. TEQ-6P runs as VST3, AU and AAX on macOS and Windows.

The Standard Edition is £89 and the Unique Edition is £129, both one off purchases with no subscription. TEQ-6P is available now from rocksolidaudio.co.uk/products/teq-6p with 60% off both editions for a limited time with the code: “INTRO60”. A free demo is available, and a free account unlocks a fourteen day full trial.
