Snorkel Audio has released Disto Disco, an audio effect for macOS and Windows VST3 and AU priced at €59.

Each of its 28 processing modes is designed to move and breathe with the beat, so every effect becomes expressive and alive. A distortion plugin at heart, it also ventures into much stranger territory. Alongside gentle drive, folding, fuzz and gain, it can apply degrading echoes, tuned resonances, morphing vowels, spectral smears, harsh mathematical processing and granular clouds to a sound.
Every dial has its own rhythmic modulator, so each control moves with its own shape. One control can swing wildly while another glides across several bars, giving the sound complex, evolving movement. Random selects a mode, sets its dials and makes them move, while Spice sets how adventurous the result becomes. Every randomized value remains visible and editable, so users can keep what works and shape the rest by hand.
