The Bob Moog Foundation has announced a Summer Fundraising Raffle with two synthesizers as prizes: a vintage Memorymoog Plus (serial number 3067, valued at $12,500) as first prize, and a Moog Muse (valued at $3,500) as second prize. Tickets are available from August 31 through September 21, 2026.
The Memorymoog Plus was Moog Music’s 1983 follow-up to the original 1982 Memorymoog, adding an integrated sequencer, CV outputs, and MIDI In/Out/Thru to the original design. The Memorymoog line was among Moog’s first production instruments to support programmable patch memory, with storage for up to 100 presets accessible from a front-panel bank. Its defining topology is six-voice polyphony with three voltage-controlled oscillators per voice, matching the architecture of the Minimoog Model D. Most polyphonic synthesizers of the era used two oscillators per voice, including the Sequential Prophet-5, Oberheim OB-Xa, and Roland Jupiter-8.
This particular unit has the Bell Tone Synth Works Liberator F-RAM Upgrade installed, which replaces the battery-backed RAM with non-volatile flash memory, removing the long-term battery dependency that affects older Memorymoog units. It has been serviced by Rob Rosen of Rosen Sound and comes with an Anvil flight case and an original Memorymoog user manual authored by Dominic Milano. The Foundation describes the instrument’s physical and technical condition as excellent.
The second prize, the Moog Muse, was originally released in summer 2024. It is a polyphonic synthesizer with 61 piano-size semi-weighted keys and an integrated OLED programmer. The control surface includes 44 knobs, 16 sliders, and 129 buttons. On-board processing includes Diffusion Delay, modulation effects, an arpeggiator, and a sequencer. Connectivity includes dual back-panel CV inputs and outputs for integration with analog modular systems.
All proceeds from the raffle support three Bob Moog Foundation programs: Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool, the Bob Moog Foundation Archives, and the Moogseum.
