Dystopian Waves has released Arche, a bassline generator designed for creating, editing, and exploring bassline ideas from a key and scale or an imported MIDI chord progression.
Arche includes 16 dedicated style engines, each built around a different musical approach, including Disco, House, Acid, Pop, Cinematic, and more. Each style engine generates basslines according to its own rhythmic and melodic characteristics.
Users can generate basslines from a selected key and scale, or import a MIDI chord progression. When working with an imported progression, Arche uses the chord information to guide pitch selection and harmonic movement.
Features:
- 16 Style Engines for generating basslines in different musical styles.
- Four Rhythm Modes: Style Specific, Euclidean, Turing, and Fibonacci.
- Density, Complexity & Voice Leading controls for shaping generated basslines.
- Custom Intervals for controlling pitch selection.
- DNA Engines for extracting and manipulating characteristics from imported basslines.
- Mutation Engine for generating variations from existing or generated basslines.
- Phrasing System with patterns such as ABAB, AAAB, ABCD, and custom variations.
