SonicModeler updates Syntropy to v2.1 with AI Assistant

SonicModeler has released Syntropy 2.1, an update to its formula-based software synthesizer for Windows and macOS.

The headline addition is the new AI Assistant, designed to help users work with Syntropy’s mathematical synthesis engine. It can assist with creating and refining sound formulas and suggest new directions for developing sounds, while keeping the resulting algorithms fully accessible for further editing.

Syntropy 2.1 also introduces Alchemy, a new preset bank featuring a varied collection of original sounds created using Syntropy’s latest algorithms and synthesis techniques.

The update also improves the editing workflow and expands Syntropy’s synthesis capabilities with new functions.

What’s new in Syntropy 2.1:

  • Integrated AI Assistant for formula creation and sound development.
  • New FFT, granular-synthesis and physical-modeling functions.
  • New Alchemy preset bank.
  • Maximized view for more comfortable editing in the standalone application.
  • Improved editing workflow.
  • New Audio Unit (AU) version for macOS.
  • Additional fixes, refinements and improvements.
