Dystopian Waves has released new updates for Noesis – Intelligent Harmony Generator and Drox II Pro – glitch and audio manipulation plugin, adding new features, workflow improvements, and refinements.
Noesis v1.2.0 Update
Noesis v1.2.0 introduces new workflow options, expanded chord generation controls, and improvements to the harmony engine.
New features and improvements:
- Themes Menu — Added a new Themes section in the Settings panel with multiple UI themes.
- Standalone Application Version — Noesis is now available as a standalone application.
- Chord Generation Modes — Added three chord generation options:
- Generate Only Triads — Starts with triads and gradually introduces richer chord formats (7ths, 9ths, drop voicings, and more) as Complexity increases.
- Force Selected Chord Format — Keeps generation focused on the selected chord format.
- Stylistic Voicings — Uses the original generation behavior with stylistic chord choices.
- Trigger Mode Options — Added new triggering behavior:
- Interleaved — Original triggering behavior.
- Zone-Based Chord Triggering — Allows chords to be triggered by dedicated keyboard zones.
- Progression Start Mode — Added two options in the Generator Panel:
- Root Start — Generated progressions always begin on the root of the selected key.
- Any Scale Degree — Allows progressions to begin from any diatonic scale degree for more variation.
- Loop Playback — Added a Loop toggle next to the Play button for continuous progression playback.
- Improved Mutation Engine:
- Now responds to both Entropy and Complexity controls.
- Added context-aware mutation for more musical variations.
- Generates extensions and voicings based on the selected Flavor.
- The update also includes additional UI improvements, engine refinements, bug fixes, and general enhancements.

Drox II Pro v1.1.0 introduces new workflow options, snapshot controls, and improvements to the real-time audio manipulation system.

- Advanced Mode — Provides access to the full stutter engine with detailed repeat processing and controls.
- Simple Mode — A streamlined layout for users who want to quickly trigger stutters without configuring advanced effects.
