Remi Blaze has released Gaugex, a free loudness and metering plugin for macOS (AU / VST3, Apple Silicon native) — part of a growing collection of free tools built by a house and tech-house producer and DJ with a catalogue of 170+ original tracks across 35+ labels.
Mastering to a streaming or club target shouldn’t be guesswork. Gaugex measures your mix to the ITU-R BS.1770-4 standard and shows exactly where you stand — integrated, momentary and short-term LUFS, loudness range, and true-peak, all in one window. Pick a target (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Club, Broadcast, or a custom number) and it shows the gain-to-target and a clear pass/fail, with a Match button to hit it in one click.
It goes past loudness, too: 4× oversampled true-peak with an inter-sample alert so nothing clips on playback, a peak-to-loudness (crest) readout, phase correlation and a mono-compatibility check, low-end phase with a sub-cancellation alert, an FFT spectrum, and a 60-second loudness history so you can see how the whole track sits.
