Voidcontrol MIDI has released the macOS version of its OB-6 Unofficial Editor, a hardware editor for the Sequential OB-6 analog polysynth. The editor was already available for Windows; the Mac release brings the same DAW integration to Logic Pro and other Mac DAWs.
The editor puts every OB-6 parameter on one screen, organized by section like the hardware, and keeps the editor and synth in two-way sync in real time. It was built to solve the problem of getting a hardware synth properly integrated into a DAW session: parameters can be automated with real automation lanes, patches recall with the project, and settings that require menu-diving on the hardware are brought out where they can be reached.
Features include:
- Full parameter control with real-time two-way sync between editor and hardware.

- Patch library with naming, categories, search, filtering, and .syx import/export.
- A/B snapshots with morph, automatable from the DAW.

The Mac version runs as an Audio Unit, VST3, and standalone app. It is built for Apple Silicon, requires macOS 11 or later, and is signed and notarized. The Windows version ships as VST3 and standalone and requires Windows 10 or 11. One license key works on both platforms.
Tested in Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Bitwig Studio, Cubase, Reaper, Studio One, and Waveform.
The current version, 1.0.3, adds a 50% zoom preset for smaller screens and corrects the LFO shape icons, and improves MIDI reliability, patch import, bank export, and connection handling across both platforms. During a library scan, using Morph, Paste, or Push now stops the scan so the change is heard immediately.
The OB-6 Unofficial Editor is available at voidcontrolmidi.com for $35 through July 21, 2026, then $40. Requires a MIDI connection to a Sequential OB-6.
