Jamstik Releases LOON – Software Instrument Built Around Multiple Signal Paths (VST3, AU & AAX)

Jamstik has announced the release of LOON, a new software instrument designed for musicians, producers, composers, and sound designers. Available as a standalone application and VST3, AU, and AAX plugin for macOS and Windows, LOON combines modern synthesis with a workflow designed to keep musicians creating instead of navigating complexity.

At the heart of LOON is a three-layer, multitimbral architecture that allows musicians to build complete instruments across independent signal paths. Each layer contains its own instruments, effects, and performance controls, making it possible to move from simple patches to richly layered textures within a single preset.

Originally developed alongside Jamstik’s expressive MIDI guitar platform, LOON quickly evolved into a standalone instrument for keyboardists, composers, producers, sound designers, and guitarists alike. Each layer combines synthesis, FM, sampling, advanced filtering, effects, and modulation into its own complete signal path, while six assignable macros and full MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE) support make those instruments as expressive to perform as they are to create.

Features:

  • Three independent layers with dedicated signal paths.
  • Combine synthesis, FM, sampling, and advanced filtering.
  • Dedicated effects processing for each layer.
  • Six assignable macros for expressive performance and automation.
  • Full MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE) support.
  • More than 200 factory presets.
  • Standalone application plus VST3, AU, and AAX plugin formats.

Pricing & Availability

LOON is available now for macOS and Windows with an introductory launch price of $49.99 USD (regularly $99.99 USD).
