SonaMetro updates Guitar Notebook for songwriters to 3.4, adds Chord Detection

SonaMetro has released Guitar Notebook version 3.4.1 for Mac, iPad, and iPhone with automatic chord detection. As you tap in notes on the fretboard suggested chord names are now shown, making it easy and accurate to add chords names to the patterns you play.

The Chord Detector works seamlessly with the Chord Keyboard, which allows users to tap in entire chords by name. When adding notes manually to the fretboard, Guitar Notebook switches to chord detection. When adding new blank chord diagrams, it starts with the Chord Keyboard for easy chord entry.

Other recent updates include:

  • Chord Keyboard for easy chord entry.
  • Audio Recording Import and Export.
  • Audio Waveforms.
  • Enhanced Song Organization with Labels.
  • Guitar Tuner.
  • Drag and drop to rearrange chords and pages.
  • Rotate the guitar fretboard on Mac.

With this latest round of features, Guitar Notebook aims to do in one app what typically takes multiple apps to do, helping guitarists and songwriters be as productive as ever. Guitar Notebook is available from the app store.
