StrayCurrent Software Updates M4L Chord Progression Tool Harmonybeam to v1.2

StrayCurrent Software has released version 1.2 of Harmonybeam, a Max for Live chord device for Ableton Live that features MIDI clip syncing, text-based chord input, progression generation and intelligent, context-aware chord suggestions.

New Features in v1.2:

  • New: Expanded Rhythm menu: Pattern Flow, Legato and Pattern Shift.
  • New: Rest blocks for pauses in between chords that are independent of rhythm patterns.
  • New: “Shape Lock” & “Full Lock” chord block states: Shape locked blocks retain their length but can have their chord identity changed, fully locked blocks retain both their length and chord identity (but still can have their voicing adjusted, whether manually or by AVL).
  • New: Synced clips are now labeled with the chords they contain, e.g. “HB [Dm7 G7 Cmaj7 Am7]”; bass clips are labeled with the notes they contain.
  • New: Keyboard shortcuts Cmd/Ctrl+A (Select all), Cmd/Ctrl+C (Copy), Cmd/Ctrl+V (Paste), Cmd/Ctrl+X (Cut), Cmd/Ctrl+D (Duplicate), Backspace (Delete) now also supported inside chord strip, not just in the input text bar.
  • Many other minor improvements and enhancements, which are described in the release notes.

Price: $24.
