Plughugger releases “J60 Heatwave” for Omnisphere 3

Plughugger has released J60 Heatwave, a soundset for Omnisphere 3 inspired by one of the defining synthesizers of the 1980s: the Roland Juno-60.

Built using both the newly added Juno waveforms in Omnisphere 3 and the classic soundsources included in earlier versions, this collection dives into everything that made the instrument popular — warm chorus-drenched pads, deep analog basses and the unmistakable 80s character that helped define an era.

To expand beyond the classic Juno sound, Plughugger also included a companion collection inspired by Yamaha’s iconic TX-series FM synthesizers, exploring the digital side of the 1980s with crystalline bells, metallic textures and glassy digital pads.

The result is a dual collection covering both of the decade’s defining synthesizer voices: warm analog nostalgia and sparkling digital precision.

    • 28 Arpeggios & Sequences.
