sonicLAB has updated Fundamental to version 4.1 adding MCP (Model Context Protocol) support.
Fundamental 4.1 now exposes its sound engine through the Model Context Protocol, so any MCP-compatible LLM client can drive synthesis directly.
Features:
- Describe sweeps, modulation, sonic progressions, or physics-inspired processes in plain English — the LLM generates the preset and Fundamental4.1 loads it instantly.
- Works with Claude Desktop and Gemini CLI.
- By using your existing subscription on Claude or Gemini, the MCP server does not cost extra fees beyond your existing LLM plan.
- It provides persistent memory such as the conversations stay in context; so you can iterate: shift a chord up 50 Hz, add Cauchy modulation, sweep it down to sub-bass — each instruction builds on the last.
Fundamental 4.1 is a free update for Fundamental 4 users.
sonicLAB Fundamental 4.1 comes as a standalone app, and in VST3 and AU plugin formats for OS X (universal) and Windows.
A new license of Fundamental 4.1 costs £99 GBP and can be purchased on sonicLAB webshop.
