Germany-based audio software studio SATK has released Overdub Studio, a focused voiceover DAW for macOS built for video pieces, news inserts and sports highlights — without a studio and without a sound engineer.
The workflow is intentionally short: load the video, speak, done. Pauses are removed automatically during recording (Auto Edit); the voice signal is processed automatically for clarity and broadcast loudness (Auto Audio); voice, music and effects are balanced in one click (Auto Mix). The export embeds the finished mix directly into the source video file, so the piece is ready to air. MXF source files keep their integrity end-to-end.
A built-in prompter scrolls with the speaker’s voice, keeping the reading position steady without manual scrubbing.

SATK Overdub Studio is available now as a macOS Standalone application (199 € one-time, direct from satk.tech) and as an iPad app on the App Store (monthly subscription).
