Bogren Digital has released IRDX Studio, a free IR loader plugin featuring multi-slot blending, per-slot EQ and phase controls, and library management tools designed for working through large IR collections. An optional $49 upgrade activates the company’s proprietary IRDX Technology speaker emulation.
The plugin supports blending up to five IR slots via a graphical mixer. Each slot carries individual 5-band EQ, resonance, and phase adjustment. Any blended IR combination can be exported as a single .wav file, with hardware-specific presets for popular modelers included.
Library Management and Auditioning
IRDX Studio includes filtering, search, favorites, and a preview mode that gives an approximate read on how an IR will sound without fully loading it. A dedicated Audition Mode lets users evaluate individual IRs in isolation without affecting the active blend. The plugin ships preloaded with the Bogren Digital IR Demo Pack.
IRDX Technology
IRDX Technology is Bogren Digital’s proprietary speaker emulation layer, also integrated into the company’s amp suite products. The company describes it as modeling the dynamic response of a physical speaker cabinet, where individual notes and chords react differently rather than producing a consistent, static tone. The upgrade can be trialed for seven days from within the plugin before purchase.
