atkAudio has released atkAutoleveller, a plugin that adjusts overall audio level to match specific target level in real-time.
Auto-leveller could also be called a dynamic normalizer. The Input stage limiter can be used to protect the auto-leveller circuit from sudden loud bursts of sound, whilst the Output stage limiter allows setting (or offsetting) the final output level. Threshold controls the minimum audio level required to engage auto-levelling; hysteresis controls the minimum change in signal level required to trigger adjustment.
