Sender Spike upgrades free SN Zero Synthesizer to v2.00

Sender Spike has updated the free SN Zero Synthesizer Windows VST instrument plug-in to v2.00.

This substantial upgrade marks the transition of SN Zero from a work in progress to a full-fledged FM vector ROMpler and wavetable synth.

Major changes:

  • External library dependencies are now included in the installation package making the installation more convenient.
  • The optional Sound Pack was updated with correctly re-exported wavetables.

New features:

  • WTed — waveform converter and wavetable editor (see image).
  • Morphing, playback, and modulation of multi-frame wavetables.
  • Automatable parameters for wavetable frame positions (all operators).
  • Keyboard transpose shift for multi-sample instrument regions.

Fixed bugs:

  • Incorrect rendering of 24dB LPF resonance peak in GUI.
  • rendering of PAN value box in display.

  • incorrect release phase playback of one-shot samples when release was longer than sample’s duration.

  • incorrect interaction of LFO and AEG.

  • glitches in virtual keyboard playback caused by an error in voice allocation algorithm.
