Boris FX releases Sequoia 2026

Boris FX has announced the release of Sequoia 2026, an update that focuses on three core pillars: stability, speed, and deep customization.

Sequoia 2026 introduces a complete overhaul of both the Hybrid Audio Engine and the GPU-accelerated Video Engine. This utilizes system resources more efficiently and lets you do more with your current hardware. The new video engine offloads video processing to the graphics card, and preserves more CPU power for high-latency plugins and intensive mixing tasks. You get smoother playback at up to 60fps and a rock-solid environment for ADR and precise sync work.

This release also prioritizes workflow flexibility with the addition of OSC remote control support, allowing you to drive Sequoia from any network-compatible device—from a mobile tablet to a large mixing console. Additionally, with Soundly library integration, sound designers gain instant access to a massive local, network or cloud-based libraries of SFX and foley directly within their project.

From the refined FX I/O Matrix to the intuitive Crossfade Editor, Sequoia 2026 is designed to handle the heaviest sessions with ease.
