Arturia has announced the release of AstroLab 37, a compact edition of their standalone stage keyboard. Following the introduction of the 61-key model earlier this year, the AstroLab 37 condenses the same synthesis architecture and ecosystem integration into a portable, 37-key format designed for live performance and studio applications where space is at a premium.
AstroLab 37 functions as a hardware host for Arturia’s software instrument library, allowing users to play presets from Analog Lab, V Collection, and Pigments without a computer connection. The unit is equipped with 10 distinct synthesis engines, capable of handling Virtual Analog, Wavetable, FM, and Granular processing. While the interface mirrors the larger model—featuring a circular navigation screen and four macro encoders—the keybed utilizes 37 “slim-keys” that retain velocity sensitivity and aftertouch capabilities.
The keyboard integrates bi-directionally with the Analog Lab software. Users can design sounds on a computer and transfer them to the hardware for standalone use. Additionally, the AstroLab Connect mobile app allows for wireless library management via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
