Native Instruments has updated Maschine to v3.4.0.
Added
- Modernised Modulation Editor: A completely modernized modulation editor, rebuilt on a new technical foundation for a smoother and more visually clear workflow.
- New linear point workflow, the new default workflow.
- Curve Editing: You can now create smooth, curved slopes in the modulation lane. Hold alt + mouse drag (option+ mouse drag for macOS) to use.
- Visual Feedback: The modulation editor has been updated with a new visual design, including a new background grid, correct line and handle sizes, and tooltips that appear when hovering over a handle or segment.
- Zooming with the mouse in the modulation lane and pattern editor; Cmd + mouse wheel/track pad on macOS or CTRL + mouse wheel/track pad changes the zoom level in the modulation and pattern editor.
- Support for Kontrol S-Series MK3 when Maschine is running as a plugin.
Improved:
- Point Editing Workflow: Editing modulation points is more efficient; you can now drag them to reposition horizontally or vertically.
- Hardware Automation Recording: Automation recorded from hardware is now optimized to create cleaner, linear points, making it easier to edit.
- Multi-Selection: You can now select and edit multiple non-adjacent points by using Shift-Click.
- Marquee Tool: A new marquee tool allows for selecting and editing multiple modulation points at once.
- Pencil Tool: Automation points can be drawn freehand using a new pencil tool. This is the way to create stepped automation with the grid turned on, in a way that resembles the previous automation system.
