Just in time for the end of the year, Steinberg is launching a new update for its Digital Audio Workstation Steinberg Cubase Pro 10.
New in Cubase Pro 10 is the VariAudio 3 extension. This is a powerful Pitch Correction tool that also provides some optimizations for editing micro-pitch curves and manipulating formant-shifting.
Also new is the MixConsole Snapshots feature, which allows you to both save and recall a mix within the mixer, which is particularly useful in practice for making or comparing a mix with a possible alternative.
With Audio Alignment, Cubase Pro 10 introduces a new feature that allows users to quickly and easily arrange stacked recordings for synchronization with vocals or other tracks.
In addition, the REVerence convolution reverb integrated into Cubase Pro has been supplemented with a total of 20 new impulse responses from classic vintage reverberations.
New Channel Strip in Steinberg Cubase 10
The channel strip is the most important component of mixing for many producers and sound engineers. In Cubase 10, the Channel Strip has now been redesigned. It now offers even more features and the modules are easier to use. Each module has received new ads that make changes visually visible. The compressors have been given additional adjustment options that allow even deeper intervention in the audio material.
Groove Agent 5SE in Steinberg Cubase 10
After Steinberg recently unveiled the fifth version of the virtual drummer, it’s no surprise that it has also entered Cubase Pro 10. As usual, but only in the SE version. The newly designed user interface can now easily be adapted to personal needs, it is fully scalable. At the heart of what’s new is a fantastic acoustic drum kit called “The Kit,” which delivers a richly detailed sound. Those who prefer to produce electronic music can look forward to 20 new beat agent kits. Also new is the Groove Agent 5SE Content Browser to preview samples directly in the kit – even while the music is playing.
Additional innovations in Steinberg Cubase 10
Additional enhancements and additions include AAF import and export for data exchange with various systems, improved video editing content, and the optimization of Steinberg’s Virtual Reality Production Suite, which now provides even more valuable tools for VR content. Creation ready.
